    Yummy Yum Yum Vol 1.

I am one of those people that will eat the same thing everyday for weeks if I love it....and its even better if it is a light recipie (as in not loaded with carbs and "heavy"). While my tastes in food are pretty static, there are parts of my favorite foods that are really good for more than one dish. I always find my self loving the sauces or side dishes I get when I go out to restaurants to eat, better than I do the main dishes. I always wish that I could figure out a way to make these things. THANK GOD FOR PEOPLE THAT MAKE COPY-CAT RECIPES! For instance, the Panera Bread Asian Sesame Dressing is great on any salad but its also a great marinade and good over a cold pasta dish. Check out these tidbits: Panera Bread Asian Sesame Dressing 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar 1/4 cup toasted sesame oil 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 1/4 cup canola or vegetable oil Combine all ingredients except canola oil in a medium mixing bowl with a wire whisk. Once ingredients are combined, slowly pour in the oil while whisking to form an emulsion. Makes 1 1/4 cups Source: The Panera Bread Cookbook by Peter Reinhart More Panera recipes: http://www.panerabread.com/recipes.aspx

    Too Cold (Ice Ice Baby)

I find something very disturbing about the site Iced Out Gear and the fact that this tacky mess that people pass off as real jewelry actually has a website that is eaqually as tacky to match it. They probably have specials like:
    • The 1-day Rap Deal Contract Signing Special
    • The My Boo Blowout Sale
    • The Catch-A-Case Clearance Sale (my favorite by far)
I know this is the state of pop culture for some these days, but just give me a a nice semi-precious stone pendant on a thin leather strip...I am fine.

    Freaky Fortune

So I had lunch at my favorite chinese restaurant on Tuesday. We had a waitress I had never had before (and I eat there more than humanly possible by most) and she was a bit "off." But when she came back to the table to bring our checks and the typical fortune cookies,...the fortune cookie that got passed to me was,....not so typical (see picture above). So,...if fortune cookies are supposed to give you wisdom and luck, what does two in the same package do for you?...or do they cancel each other out in some weird magical way and turn into BAD luck? Either way, the fortunes really did not apply to me (or each other)...so I dont know what to make of this little item. I know one thing....the cookies themselves were unsually nasty....a result of sharing a package? Hmmmm maybe,....maybe not. Either way, after taking this picture, I immediately went into a anally retentive - compulsive obesssive panic about the fact that I now had to get the crumbs from the cookies off my counter...lol

So,.... As a way of relieving some stress from the beginning of 2006 (which has been kinda horrible for me), I have taken up knitting and crocheting as my new hobbies. I want this t-shirt sooo bad (thanks again Steph!) I am going to make knitting the new HOT thing to do. I am going to knit like no one had ever knit before! I am going to knit scarves and sweaters and hot sexy hats and little cute booties for cute babies and shawls that make your grandmother envious! and..... Aww,....who am I kidding...this shit is not easy...so when you, MY FRIEND, get a nice new grey scarf for christmas next year,...SHUT UP AND LOVE IT. :-)
